WELSH/THOROUGHBRED -14.2 HANDS

HELICON CORSAIR - WPSCA #2 HALF WELSH SIRE OF THE YEAR
2004Corsair
is bringing size, elegance, and extravagant motion to our program. His
first pony foals have been classy mediums and larges from smaller mares.
He will impart breedier heads, freedom of movement, and a workable size
to offspring from horse mares. Corsair is an intelligent, level-headed,
responsive and quiet stallion. Athletic ability is inherited from his
sire GLANNANT
SKIPPER who, as BELIEVE
IN MAGIC, had the
next to highest score over fences out of 251 entries at the 1999 U.S.
Pony Hunter Finals. This made him the top medium pony and reserve grand
pony! He was also second in the stake at Washington. Corsair's dam
goes back to the old lines of *Sir Gallahad Ill, Count Fleet, *Bull Dog,
Ben Brush, and Hyperion.

We
are very excited
about the long trots and good minds that the youngsters from his first
crop in 1999 are displaying. And they all have "The
Look" as the owners call it!

An own son of *CUSOP SPARKLET, the sire
of AHSA Horse of the Year winners YES I CAN, SAGE, MIMOSA, and THYME,
Country is invaluable as a sire of hunter ponies. His dam, GlanNant

the Year! Country himself was WPCSA National Small Hunter Pony Champion
in 1997 and 1998 when 19 and 20 years of age. In his youth he was a
Supreme Champion in Hand and a Driving Champion
Country's offspring include AHSA Horse
of the Year in Welsh Pleasure Pony Adult Rider and AHSA Zone Champion
Medium Pony Hunter GlanNant Symphony, Welsh English Pleasure Champion
GlanNant Locket, and WPCSA Champions Country Classic, Country Contessa,
and FG Masterblend. Student Prince is a roadster winner.
Our congratulations go to Deb Brown-Moon
for 2002 WPCSA National Yearend Champion, HP Country Edition, who topped
the Half-Welsh Adult Hunter and English Pleasure divisions. Kudos also
to Jill Aureliano for Helicon Classic Country's Reserve
